the selling power of this song with the amount of airplay it's getting. despite stalling, having 30m AI and being top 20 on itunes is a pretty good achievement.

but really, even if they do move on to a next single it's not like it'll get promotion. she'll be on tour in a week and lord knows how invested she gets into them. we won't be seeing any promo for awhile

But FU has no chance of release on radio, and with Youtube streaming power basicly been crippled to prevent anybody from being the next wreckingball, she needs a radio freindly single

WCS proved Miley doesn't need airplay to sell when the song she's pushing is incredible! (Adore You as well, of course to a smaller and less incredible extent)

i doubted FU plenty of times, but it's probably the most viable option. Do My Thang may be charting higher in the US, but it's just too teen oriented to take off properly. not like FU isn't teen oriented but "bang bitch! you think i'm strange bitch?! well its bananas like a ****ing rangatang, bitch!" might not fit well on radio.

FU is powerful which makes for a great video. + the rise it got from just being played at a Victoria Secret Fashion show (it went top 40 on itunes if i remember correctly) speaks volumes.

Drive should come after it. i love it, but it's too boring especially after 2 ballads.

Drive isnt boring at least not vocally, adore you only fualt is that it has no climax,. Not exactly the sort of song you might you in an audition or a live singing show or anything.

People either had to RACE to open their phones and Shazam it, then buy it on iTunes, or go out of their way to google the other lyrics, identify the song, then buy it. I mean FU its power.

FU is the way to go. The GP identifies it as a fresh song, it went Top 40 on iTunes just with the VS show.
She's releasing a 4th single coming from a very overexposed era, the only route is innovation.

I had a moment with "FU" recently. It's Grammy performance worthy. It could either bomb WW or be a big hit praised for it's originality + could originate a catchphrase ("I got two letters..,etc.".)
However, something doesn't feel right about it being the 4th single. Look at the Teenage Dream string of hits. The main five. Do y'all think We Can't Stop, Wrecking Ball, Adore You, F*ck You, Drive flows well?.
Do My Thang could be the sixth one ("Right Now" type of chart performance). Idk why but #GIR isn't happening, which is odd considering everybody is kissing the ground Pharrell's walks on.
