She was actually quite focus solely on work before. I remember her ex-assistant did an interview and she was saying how during GGGB she never saw Rihanna drinks or do anything inappropriate because she was very focus on becoming big.

There a difference between Rihanna label just sending out word to producers to starts recording demo and Rihanna actually working on the album. At this point it's probably the label warning producers/writers to get ready for her eventual return to the studio.
The few times she's been spotted in the studio these past few months have been more for other work that aren't really R8 related.
I can't ya'll This album... I will never forgive her...
Someone needs to talk to her about this mess, she needs to get back to promoting her stuff and really focusing on her job I really hope this break will help her...
