pre-Challenge #1: your ATRL profile and you.
ATRL has many functions as a member and there are many ways to customize it to your liking.
Take this week to explore your account to more than trolling in SYG, whining in HQ, and thirsting
in PYP. Look at these in particular:
Edit your profile to include any information you wish to share. You don't need to share
private information but a well-crafted profile makes a member stand out better.
Update your avatar(s), signature, and custom title if you desire. You may keep what you have
now if you think they're satisfactory.
Adjust your preferences. This could include different font, privacy settings, or other ways to view
the forum. Hint: be sure to look at the private messages settings.
Also check out all the color schemes to pick your fave and explore other functions like bookmarks
and notepad (both found in your My ATRL).
Due to the number of sign ups, this week will be used to get us down to our number
of 20 participants. I expect a lot of flake-outs off the bat so we'll go with that.
In the case that more people complete the week, then points will be used for elimination.
These points are cumulative so do not waver in the beginning!
What you're required to turn in on Friday, February 7th:- A short paragraph about what you did to your profile this week
- How many new friends you got
- How many new posts you made
- A link to your best thread
- Your 3 best posts
I'll keep an eye on this thread so don't worry about counting posts in here. Just keep track of the things above.
Due to this challenge being pretty basic and graded more on completion than effectiveness, it will not earn points for the best submission.
Players who do next to nothing on their accounts may earn point penalties.
Final words: on the show, they use mentors to help complete the transition. This was considered for this game but wouldn't work with so many different challenges. Instead, we welcome you to contact outside help from other members based on the week's challenge. So since this week is about profiles, contact someone who you think has a really well-constructed profile, awesome sig, or knows the cool, mysterious features. This is not required and you can choose to only get mentors when you think you need them.
