Has she really not done the red carpet since? What about that time for Duets w/ Robin Thicke?
Random: Why does no one on Idol or any of the other singing competition shows ever sing BOY or SUBG but WDKY, BTHE, BA, etc get covered all the time. I think I read somewhere they were banned? Can anyone confirm this?

There was some guy who performed SUBG on idol like 5 years ago, and I remember BOY being covered by some foreign idol franchise a few years ago or something like this.

The problem with Kelly's appearance is that she simply doesn't care. When Kelly tries she looks absolutely flawless: [1], [2], and [3].
Kelly's face doesn't have a flaw on it. Her only issue is that when her weight is on the heftier side (I.E. All I Ever Wanted) her face becomes more round and the clothes that she wears shows that off. And speaking of clothes, her personal picks along with her friend's Ashley's picks are absolutely awful, for the most part [4].
But, when Kelly tries she can look stunning. It totally depends on whether she tries or not. Whereas all the other pop girls try just to stay relevant. 
EDIT: Another issue with Kelly's looks is that sometimes she does her signature smile that we all make fun of [5].

I don't find Kelly that attractive, I find her captivating.
Anyway, I just listened to Breakaway the album, and Hear Me might very well be my favorite song of all time. It's so epic!

I agree. I wish someone could give her some feedback, or help her out more with it. It frustrates me how she looks like this for something like Duets:
then for a big event like the Grammys, they decide to try something new and she looks like this:
and yeah, I wonder how her default red carpet smile ended up like the one she has now  It wasn't always like that…

I wish someone could tell her, as weird as that sounds…it's such an easy fix and makes a big difference. I remember looking at the pictures from the 2009 Clive Pre Grammy party red carpet, and there were a few of her like laughing and smiling as she was talking to someone, and it looked SO much better with that authentic smile. It made a huge difference.
She says she doesn't do red carpets anymore because it always ends up as negative talk about her appearance, but that can be easily avoided with some extra help…it's not even about her weight. Not to mention, red carpets give great press and exposure. When she did that kinda red carpet thing at the ABC Upfronts in 2012, she looked amazing and it got her SO much press….those pictures were posted in so many magazines.

Speaking of Duets, has anyone heard of Jason Farol his career? Is he popular yet? I've been listening to his Duets performances with Kelly and I found his voice very good.

Didn't she say she only cares for the music she makes? It simply makes no sense for her to go to the places she doesn't want to go. I'm happy as long as the next pop album is actually made of good songs.

He promoted his album here in the Philippines last year. Now, he has a new US single coming out I think this week called Contagious.
