This year's Grammy's suck. #Beautiful should be up for best song, best pop song, best R&B song, record of the year, best pop vocal, and best pop duo. Bye.
I honestly expected at least 2 nominations for #Beautiful. Majority of the critics really liked it, but The Grammys like to cheat our Queen.
I'm sorry for any mistreatment against you Charmbracelet. When it comes down to it, you're still a nice and cohesive album that is listenable throughout in the right mood. You ain't no Gutter! Sometimes I just get carried away
Idk if this has been asked yet, but do your parents and other family members stan for the Queen?
Two of my cousins stan
The rest just listen to her, some more than others.
My mom loves Fantasy and Always Be My Baby
My dad likes I Still Believe
My sisters love a lot of her songs
My brothers like We Belong Together
My grandmother likes My All

My dad grew up listening to Mariah and enjoys some of her early AC work.
The rest of my family doesn't touch any Urban music at all
My mom's a rocker, my sisters are into Indie/Alternative. They're terribly biased against any RnB or Hip Hop.
My older Aunts probably appreciate some Mariah though. They're much more open when it comes to music and enjoy The Beatles to Lady Gaga.
My siblings kinda like/know her hits, mostly because I use to blast ha songs so they become inescapable. They only know some lines though like
"Yoouuu got me feelin emotions"
"Someday, someday you're gonna be wishing for me"
"When you left I lost a part of me....We belong together baaaby"
"I had a vision of love"
"Sweet sweet fantasy baby"
"Aaaall I want for Christmas iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis youuuuuuuu"
"Then a hero comes along"
My All and Without You are their favorites though.
They got no clue about her catalog though, so gems like Breakdown and Underneath the Stars remain undiscovered. Sometimes when I listen to her live stuff, they get really impressed. And sometimes, they be like "so she didn't do the whistle herself???" because ha whistles often come right after a long run; for instance 'Someday' at the VMAs.

Trust me I've tried, but the beauty in those songs and most of Butterfly lies in the artistry and lyrics - not in the vocals. Whenever these hoes hear a Mariah song they except belts and whistles or else it just isn't worth it. They know her lyrics because I've basically forced them to over the past years. Forcing them to do The Roof and Honey is hard because ha pronunciation is not as clear as songs like My All (chorus at least), so you'll simply not find them humming to the true gems.
