Hilarious that people out there have wasted that much money on these. I feel sorry for them. Oh well...

The sad part is I think I purchased every one of those games to expect something better from it and then I just ended up trading them in maybe a week or so later...........

Uncharted 3 is underwhelming compared to 2 but not terrible (it's pretty great actually).
The Sims 3.
Assassin's Creed III.
Arkham Origins.
Star Wars - The Old Republic.
Why they all the third sequel?

This! When I first saw the concept, Yuna/Paine/Rikku being your main characters in a Charlie's Angels/DIVA way, I was in gay heaven Then I played the game The gameplay was stale, plus the story was bland and a major letdown compared to it's predecessor. I mean overall, the experience was ruined by one fatal flaw - Going from an extremely high stakes game to one where you spend hours on what would be considered "filler episodes" were this a TV show.
I mean, going from
having to kill Sin before it destroys the world, midway through the story learning that "The Heart" of the group and the main character's love interest will die if you do so, and all the emotionally taxing scenes like when Rikku breaks down in the Al Bhed Home, Yuna's ICONIC marriage scene, the haunting scene before Zanarkand... Not to mention the character development and depth, like Rikku causing Wakka to overcome his racism, learning Tidus' dad was Sin, Yuna was aware she was going to die all along, Auron was dead all along, and Tidus was a dream all along
Then in X-2 you play as a group of fashion-challenged strippers who run around in their airship doing **** all, not to mention that bootleg Team Rocket What a disgrace. I got about halfway through it before I couldn't go on, and had to sell it for about $5 on Amazon.[/rant]

These. DA2 was fine on it's own, but like FFX-2 it made a fatal flaw of regressing from the original. In DA:O you went from being able to choose one of three races, six origins in total. Not to mention the vast amount of endings, and paths you can take through the game (
siding with elves vs werewolves, mages vs templars, saving redcliffe or not, preserving golems, pretty much every party member being optional, most being romanceable, etc
), to DA2 which has one race, one origin, and a very rigid storyline in which the ending essentially is the same regardless of what you do. Not to mention the monotonous "waves" of combat getting real old, REAL fast. Had nowhere near the replay value of Origins.
Speaking of replay value, it's a bit of a stretch to have it included here, but pretty much any Pokemon game that follows a "third installment/version-2" etc. It annoys me how they hold back on content and in DPPt even entire chunks of the pokedex, just to be able to milk you for more money when they release the third game/sequel. The only time i can remember a first installment having copious amounts of postgame stuff is GSC/HGSS. Once you get past the pretty graphics, Pokemon XY is a major letdown compared to B2W2.

Yeah, it is still an amazing game. It is underrated. Many people think it is a terrible game for some reason when it ***** on lives.

Well Pokémon Platinum/ Black were pretty dissapointing, at least in my opinion. Especially after Diamond/ Pearl.
I'm glad they were able to fix that with X/Y though, I'm loving the game and I hadn't played a Pokémon game for more then 100 hours since the 4th gen

Aside from the glitches, that have now been fixed, I don't see why people hate Arkham Origins so much.
It actually has a lot more depth and is more interesting to play than both Arkham Asylum & Arkham City.

Arkham Origins is a good game though. It may play similar to City but i don't think thats a bad thing. If it ain't broke don't fix it
But wait for the true sequel to come out and slay us

Birth By Sleep is a KH game that actually makes sense though
Mess at someone calling the gameplay in X-2 bland it's one of the best in the series if you wanna talk bland XIIIs was bland.
DOA5 was **** story wise but gameplay wise it's good the lack of classic style DOA stages do hurt it though.

 You went in
I'll totally admit the plot of X-2 isn't up to par with X, but I still quite liked the plot with Shuyin, Lenne, Vegnagun... if you don't know who I'm talking about, then you quit too early
Also maybe I'm alone on this but I loved the dress sphere system and updated battle system! Plus airship access so early into the game, much less linear gameplay than usual, etc. It's a lot more lighthearted (and a bit political) rather than tragic and personal like FFX, but I still enjoyed the experience.
I should say though that it's been years and years since I last played, maybe my opinions would change I might have to get the HD re-release and see if I still enjoy both games

Ddddd your taste is the pits <<<<<<<<<
Literally of the KH games are excellent. And XII isn't my favorite of the series but it's still a great game. Storyline wasn't quite as personal as previous games, but it was kinda epic.

Final Fantasy X-2's battle system was critically acclaimed at the time and even more beloved now. People always mention it. You can come for the story, but X-2 has WAY better gameplay. I mean you can even choose where you want to start from the very beginning.
And X-2's story was not even bad, it was fairly original for a sequel. It showed the consequences for destroying an entire religion and saving the world. The whole Youth League and New Yevon section was very interesting and fresh.

Not here for X-2 being dragged. That game has the most unique, engaging and fun battle system of any Final Fantasy to this day. Get over your fears of being judged for playing a "girly game" and enjoy that masterpiece for what it is!

I think I got up to where Vegnagun (some kinda doomsday device?) and Shuyin/Lenne were being mentioned, lost interest before the completion of that though (I think I was in some dungeon in Bevelle when I dropped the mic on X-2). The final nail in it's coffin was when I discovered the internet, saw spoilers, and found out the only ending I was here for IIRC,
Tidus x Yuna
required some **** like a 100% completion rate. After that, I was just over the game completely.
The dress spheres were the only decent thing about them (I loved changing their outfits, mainly ), and some of the classes continue to **** on a lot of the stuff they produced post X-2, like Paine's "Trainer" with that big ass bird
Overall I think what ruined my experience was that I was late to the party. X and X-2 came out in 2003-4(?), and I probably got into them a year or two later, having bought them in a bundle. To go straight from the ending of X, with all the depth and emotional investment, to X-2 was just... If I had been into the console series all along, waited for X-2 and had time to come down from the high that was FFX, I probably wouldn't have minded. That and the fact that they brought back Yuna and Rikku, but not Queen Lulu But hey, to each ha own -- My fave/second fave in the series is FFXII which gets dragged (unjustly) plenty, so
