Even if she doesn't win any awards, I am so proud of her. Finally, the recognition she deserves. It has been a long time since she has been in the business and I am proud to have grown up listening her to music and being apart of history. Her history. She has turned my night time into day literally. Her music no matter how I am feeling, makes me feel like a better person. She has brought me close to so many people, even people from other parts of the world but they have made a significant impact on my life along with Alecia herself.
I remember my first concert of hers and I was 10 years old, I still remember the screams of the Sydney crowd. I still remember at the Funhouse tour me and my aunties arguing on how she was going to come on stage and we all though she was coming out of that little jack in the box thing
I still remember the TTALT and her flying right over me. I still remember waking up early hours in the morning to try and contact the radio stations to talk to her over the phone.
She is a memory maker, she might not be the IT girl, or apart of the stupid trinity but she is on her own lane. She might not do all the things we want her to do like promote, or make actual music videos and not tour footage or stop featuring Carey in her videos but they have gave us inside jokes to make about her to bring us all together. Seriously guys, even if she doesn't win I am still grateful to have another Grammy performance, to talk about it with wonderful people like yourselves. Even with the lurkers who don't post regularly. We are all one! I love you guys!
