I don't know why people think it's impossible for her to win. Don't forget My Humps and Who Let The Dogs Out won a Grammy so that tells you anyone/everyone has a chance.
the billboard chart has been around since 1958--they didn't have music videos back then. songs, obviously were ranked, meaning there have been #1 songs on billboard since 1958--that didn't have music videos. Katy will be far from the second person to ever have a #1 song on billboard that didn't have a video.

Part of Me was released after 4 (i don't remember) hours since Grammys performance. After Whitney's death I Will Always Love You peaked at #1 on US iTunes. Katy was climbing to #3 and top the chart. Song was debut at #1 on Billboard with 411,000 copies.
