I guess it really comes to down to personal opinion. For me, ARTPOP is her best album and I've been there since I first heard Just Dance in 2008. But I'm a bops liking kinda fan if that makes sense. I could not get through BTW. I really could not. While I genuinely enjoy ARTPOP from start to finish, excluding Fashion.
And it's not that I'm pretending ARTPOP is better quality wise than BTW. For me it is, for some of you, it isn't. It's really that simple.

Venus is a mess. If it were single #2 this era would be more dead than it is now. It's a great bop and it'll slay on tour, but LOL at it being better than a BTW track outside of Americano.
GUY is okay, ARTPOP and Aura are great, DWUW is cool, Gypsy and Applause slay.
But Government Hooker, SchiBe, Bloody Mary, Bad Kids, HML, Edge>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Applause is very underrated, but the amount of stanning for Venus around here after the mess that was every performance of it makes me wonder have half the stans jumped aboard the delusion train with Gaga lately.

UGH, DWUW is still rising in spanish radio stations (currently #10), we need the ****ing video, her last #1 here was BTW

It's definitely personal preference in terms of bops, but you have to admit BTW has better writing and higher quality production on most (not all) songs compared to ARTPOP?
I end up skipping Americano and sometimes You and I on BTW. I have to skip JnD, Fashion, Donatella and replaced the album version of Swine with the longer version that leaked before ARTPOP leaked.

Born This Way was hard to listen to, I mean, I felt uncomfortable listening to the forever preachy Born This Way, Hair and Bad Kids. It's an album she did solely for the gays. The majority of the album was just horrible (either too preachy or too gay) and left me with a bad taste.

Well, to bo honest, it's sometimes hard for me to be able to fully appreciate writing skills, as English is not my first language. I'm not sure about production. I always felt that BTW sounded like a one song, apart from Bloody Mary, Government Hooker. But as I've said, it's just me. I like bops, neutral songs that are not trying to be something they are not and I get that while I'm listening to ARTPOP (despite its name! LOL).

ARTPOP is way better then BTW for me. What made BTW so bad was that the good songs were so diluted in horrible songs.

Also BTW lead single is the worst lead single I have heard for me. That production is horrid. I don't even like the cheesy lyrics.

Guys do you thunk that if Gaga releases Gypsy as a ballad and the album version at once this would be a good move. I would be here if Gaga recorded Gypsy as a ballad. I mean if the Radios dont want to play the album version, they will play the ballad since the slow songs are kinda trendy right now. What do you think? People who like the album version will buy it and people who like the ballad version more they will buy it.
