This classification is for creative and technical professionals who qualify in at least one of the categories of eligibility. All recordings must be commercially released in the U.S. either through traditional distribution channels or recognized online retail settings. Below are four different methods of applying for Voting membership.
Recordings Released On Line Only:
Recordings commercially released in the U.S. through recognized online music retailers.
Must have 12 qualifying physical or digital tracks or equivalent duration of content.*
One qualifying track must have been released within five years of receipt of application.
Releases must be currently available for purchase through recognized online music retailers.
Recordings must be accompanied by verifiable documentation, e.g. liner notes, allmusic.com.
Recordings Released Through Physical Distribution:
Recordings commercially released in the U.S. through physical distribution outlets.
Must have six physical tracks or equivalent duration of content.*
One qualifying track must have been released within five years of receipt of application.
Qualifying tracks must be currently available for sale through physical music retailers.
Recordings must be accompanied by verifiable documentation, e.g. liner notes, allmusic.com.
GRAMMY Nomination:
If you were nominated for a GRAMMY® Award within the previous five years.
Endorsement By Recording Academy Voting Members:
Applicants must be endorsed by two current, Voting Members of The Recording Academy.
I ready the Grammy expose thread and it got me thinking whether they are members or not. They shoild apply tbh
I'd assume that they are already members because that's basically free votes for Taylor.
I know the Agency (or Grant, at least) are members of one of the CMAs (or is the ACMs? Or both? **** if I know) because Grant tweeted about voting once for one of those award shows. I imagine that if Grant can be a member for a country show, he can also be a member of NARAS. And if Grant is in NARAS, the rest of the band probably is as well.
There were really no other song that could be released as singles from Preach Now. So as disappointing as it is... Only alternative was radio edit, and none would be here for that. Poor Scotty.
And I could see David & Dani as voting members of those stuffs. Not surprised if Grant is a voting member for CMAs, since he seems to be very involved with Nashville players scene (wasn't he & Paul on a billboard at Nashville, from one of Her vlogs?) -- and Paul too most likely.

I don't think so, because you need credits in 6 recordings to be a member(that's what I read at the grammy site) and some people get nominated for their lead singles without having an album out.

Btw, I feel for Agency members who are part of voting boards. Considering that She's always very desperate when it comes to awards.... I can't imagine how hard She goes after them to get their votes. If She could beg to stans with all those tweets, memes, and videos..........
