Even if he didn't mean it the way people are taking it, what is wrong with an actual apology? Do you know say sorry when accidentally bumping into someone on the street? If he "accidentally" offended a large group of people by what he said, why is he not taking responsibility for that and instead blaming those who were offended. He clearly knows it was wrong, hence him deleting it, but yet still is defending his actions.
