Artpop TOTALLY brought me back to Gaga after the BTW era tore me away
I love the production and ALL of your HIGHS (except MANiCURE, its just alright) are
Jewels n Drugs and Donatella are just though, I love that gaga tried a urban song, but Jewels n Drugs is just bad

HOWEVER Fashion! does NOT deserve to be in the LOWS!!! its amazing
Paramore surprised me, again not really a fan of Paramore, but this era was good and the album was nice...

Aint It Fun, Still Into You and Future are just
Now is great as well, didnt like it at all at first, but now ( ) i wish I would have given it a chance when it was released...

GREAT list

Alright so now that my three main countdowns are done, imma be doing some random lists from now on. If you have any suggestions for a list for a me to, please voice it! Well for today...

 Disappointing Albums of 2013

Self explanatory on what it's about.
Is it coincidence that all the albums that appear here are self-titled? #oop

Demi
Demi Lovato

I sorta like Demi, especially since Unbroken. I thought that album was pretty amazing, with such heartfelt ballads and a couple of fun yet mature songs. This album felt like a regression. Songs like Something That We're Not, Really Don't Care are fun, but really not the right progression she should be moving forward after serving better fun stuff like All Night Long and Who's That Boy. And then there's Neon Lights, which I don't know what made her decide to do that generic mess. Sure she could totally venture off into EDM (Unbroken), but that riff has been done so many times (I'm Not Alone, Yeah X3) that it can only feel reductive. I only hope that she's doing such songs just cos she wants to mine on the success of Give Your Heart A Break. It's not a bad album, cos there are also tons of gems (Made In The USA, Without The Love, Nightingale and Shouldn't Come Back) but she could do much much better. |

Avril Lavigne
Avril Lavigne

I love Avril. Goodbye Lullaby is a masterpiece (unlike what everyone thinks). I think she shines best when she's doing her punk/alternative/emo stuff or during ballads a.k.a when she's putting her heart and emotions into the music. Avril Lavigne is just soulless. It probably would've worked 5 years ago, doing all these fun tracks, but she's clearly not at that stage at all. Besides, they're not even as fun as stuff like Girlfriend. Cos there's clearly a disconnect between her current stage of life and her music it just feels so soulless. Also the music is nothing out of the ordinary, maybe except for Hello Kitty but that's atrocious. Once again, I know she could do much better. |

Britney Jean
Britney Spears

Ever since it was announced she was working with will.i.am I thought that the album will be ****. will.i.am has been so **** ever since The E.N.D era ended cos the success there raped his mind over and his brain got so caught up with trying to "push the boundaries" when he's just making mindless trash. He tries too hard and his visions are far too contrived and uninspiring. I should probably be dragging Britney cos this is her album but no Britney is flawless and will.i.am is crap. Okay anyway, the constant touting that this would be her most personal record ever is another cause of its downfall. Sure there are some personal tracks and maybe it is her most personal record compared to her other albums, but when you call your album personal, people have a pre-conceived notion of what personal is and Britney Jean is far from that. Songs like Work Bitch, Tik Tik Boom, Til It's Gone, Body Ache (though I really love the first 2) are totally faceless. Chillin' With You is just cheesy and ridiculous. Thank god for Passenger though, it's probably her best song in a long time. So anyway, stay away from will.i.am. |

I agree about will.i.am, I think if someone else had been the EP, and we had the SAME lyrics and structure, just a different production, it would be SO MUCH better...

I still love the album, but it doesnt touch my top 3 from her (ITZ, BO, OIDIA)

Avril, again I agree to an extent, as I also believe that her ballads or mids are FAR BETTER then anything else...

Demi was the first album that I liked from her, but nothing amazing...

drag Avril Hello Kitty is a disaster.

I did not expect ARTPOP in the top 4 for some reason but it makes sense. Paramore at #1 should not have been a surprise either Good finish for a great list

I still like Demi, just that I thought after Unbroken she could've delivered more.
