so if we take Lucas' most famous franchise: Star Wars
The Fame = A New Hope (an uber-successful debut where Gaga and Lucas are restrained and managed by their teams, remember that Lucas originally wanted Han Solo to be a green alien!)
The Fame Monster = Empire Strikes Back (equally successful follow up that garners the highest critical acclaim from the series)
Born This Way = Return of the Jedi (Both Gaga and Lucas gain more creative control. The work is still successful but it disenchants a few people who believe it to be inferior to the first two)
a gap in time
ARTPOP = The Phantom Menace (uber hyped return but ultimately disappoints everyone, ties in with the fact that both Gaga and Lucas now, more than ever, have almost monopolising creative control and are surrounded by yes-men)
So we can expect ARTPOP's follow up to be equally worse, album #6 to be a slight improvement and then JJ Abrams will save Gaga's #7 album
