Yes it does, because if they really are interested in Britney as an artist they will want to know who influenced her which will lead to them knowing Janet. I live outside the USA and Janet is more regarded here than Britney, none of Britney's past hits have any recurrent play, everyone thinks she is pathetic after her touring here.

exactly, Aretha is a artist from the 60's,

heck she recorded a song for the civil rights movement, her impact is undeniable,

but Aretha has never been a Global Force, besides UK and US,
