The thread was about it being an Adele classic though and no a lot of people in Europe know it are you kidding me? It's covered in almost every music show its being played as background music etc....and those who know the song most of them dont even know its a cover so it is an Adele classic deffo.

As I said, she made it famous and that's the main reason why people don't know it's just a cover. Hell, I know even people who call themselves "Daydreamers" and don't know it's a cover. So knowledge is another aspect, imo.

It would be like rewriting Grapes of Wrath and saying the new version was a classic too. But let's look at the song Shameless. Billy Joel wrote it, he performs it, but he gave it to Garth to sing. So imo in a case like that, Garth's version is the classic.

I think Adele's MYFML has definitely bought the song to a newer and younger audience, and these will associate the song with Adele rather than whoever else.

Nope, that song was already a classic released than covered and released some more before Whitney did it. Whitney just made it more popular, etc...
I'm pretty sure I've asked this before on the forums, but we have a few new members and they might be able to help me too. I am on a mission to buy all of Adele's CD singles. I have "Rolling in the Deep", "Chasing Pavements", "Skyfall", "Skyfall" Deluxe (the same one except it includes the instrumental of "Skyfall"), and "Hometown Glory". The only two I'm missing are "Cold Shoulder", which I bought today and is being shipped to me, and "Make You Feel My Love". I was wondering if any of you guys knew where to buy it REALLY cheap online... or if any of you guys had a copy you could sell to me. I have like, $17.47 on my Visa gift card, and I'm not using any more of my credit card because that's bad enough as it is. Just wondering. If any of you guys could help me, that'd be great! Thanks!

How can you vote it a 10 when there are better songs than it???
Just because we gave it a perfect score doesn't mean it's the only perfect song in her discography. Honestly, all of them are, but I thought this was one of the best of the best, and that's why I gave it a 10. It's not the only one I gave a 10, though, I gave quite a few perfect scores.
I only gave one perfect score and that was for RITD, I think everyone else gave multiple 10s, I'm a hard nut to crack

RITD is the song that started my life as a Daydreamer . I listened to that and I was like "This **** good " Anyways out of the 33 songs on this rate I only gave 10 songs with a rating of 9 or above. I gave one song a 10 and three songs a 9.5
