To me, the deluxe editions are the standard editions. I also dont demote/dismiss tracks to "bonus tracks" cos those to me are actually the better tracks on the original track list that are later added to "special, more expensive editions" to lure people into spending more money for the album. Plus as a fan I just need all of my faves songs. Unreleased, demos, etc.

i buy both with 1D but i could never not buy the deluxe editions for anyone im a big fan of

Not if it's only two or so deluxe tracks. Splashing out on 4+ is a bit expensive, but I bought the deluxe edition of Midnight Memories anyway.

I've never understood the whole 'too ashamed to buy/closet stan' thing. I've proudly carried each and every 1D album I've purchased so far around each store for free promo before buying them.

Same with Warrior (bought that **** 10 times), Born This Way, ARTPOP, Teenage Dream & Bangerz.
