Not really, at my store, we have a specific area in the cash register where we put American dollars. It doesn't really cause a problem.

For the most part no. If you gave someone an american $1 bill here they might care, because in canada we don't have $1 bills.

You're right because I went to high school with a lot of foreign Chinese classmates, and they all had jobs. Some of them had school visa and not a working visa, and they told me they found under the table jobs. They told me a lot of them worked at Kensington Market as cashier at grocery markets, or Bubble Tea places in Chinatown and they pay direct cash by the end of your shift.
