So they have no insider knowledge at all. They also predicted Justin T beating Taylor for Artist of the Year at the AMAs when that was never going to happen.
Seriously you might as well get a random octopus to make predictions, would be just as accurate.

For all we know, they could be throwing darts at a spinning wheel and wherever the dart lands, that's their choice.

I'm a member at Goldderby, and i can say that as far as i see, they usually reflect what GP thinks. So, if GP thinks for instance, Macklemore should win AOTY, then Goldderby predicts that Macklemore will win. IF GP predicts correclty, then Goldderby does, too. So, yes, they are definitely not experts, but they are not fully blind, too.
Since Sweeter Than Fiction could not become so popular, nobody thinks it'll win, so, they predict some other nominees. But nobody predicted that it'll get a GG nomination too, so, as we experienced so many times, GP doesn't always have to be correct.

Looks like Taylor Swift just doesn’t have time to get bundled up like a fool to brace for the evil arctic wrath that is the Polar Vortex.
Please. She’s too busy being #fthawless (that’s both flawless and thawed combined. You need a nice portmanteau when faced with negative wind chills.)

But where do they get an idea of what the GP thinks? Do they do a poll or have any actual data to back it up? Do they have access on betting data? Or do they just read someone on a website saying Album X is a lock, and then just repeat this? If they don't have any special insight or insider knowledge then how do they get away with calling themselves 'experts'? Are they being sarcastic?

Forum predictions + member predictions; they both consider these two Their handicapping odds (which shows the avarage of members,experts.. all users at the site) are usuallty the same with their ''Goldderby predictions'' I remember that for AMAs, most of the users predicted JT vctory for Artist of The Year ,for instance. Most of the users also predicted Bruno Mars and JT to get AOTY nomination. They were wonrg in these examples, but they predicted MTV Vmas very well, as far as i can remember.

If it sounds anything like the snippet someone posted from her performing at the winter gala, then I'll be happy.

Anyone can predict a fan voted award, especially if the star goes to the show. Oscars, Grammys and GGs are totally unpredictable

Something unexpected better be magnum opus All Too Well, not a random remix of a song we've seen performed 10 million times.
