It makes sense when you think about it, the UK chart is 100% sales driven, if you released a single the same day to iTunes as radio, it would probably flop. If you release it to radio 2 months before you can build up loads of radio airplay, so that when you release it, the debut week is usually the songs peak for a lot of songs (unless there is other promo). You gotta remember that the chart changes so quickly with all the new releases etc, getting as much airplay as you can is the best thing. I'm glad her team are using this formula, let's just hope the public take to the song
