You should + have a registration limit because there's absolutely no reason why 2014 or even late-2013 members (no offense) should be signing up.
Unless you're going to have some legit members like the original Roast thread, it won't be fun. The original was fun because all the members were well known throughout the board.
I think being a member at least for 7 months and having 5,000 posts would be decent cut offs to sign up.
As I said in the original thread, I think replicating this and it being as fun as the first one will be very hard because I don't get that sense of really knowing the newer members. I mean it may work, but the first one was so fun and funny because everyone had some idea about who each person was and each person had established a unique identity on here.
I'm only really excited to see the H-I-M, nezLaos, and Jax draggings so far. No offense to the other people who have signed up. Like I would sign up for this, but I don't feel like I'm sufficiently known or funny to drag

I think you should do the top 7 roastees thing you had in mind, and then have invitation-based roastees, which would be like 4-7 other people who are really well known to be added to the list.
