i agree that's why i'm so excited. i also agree with the person saying a clear set of goals is good for rih... she does work really well under pressure. i mean rated r, her best album to date, was made in about a year. if she's been working since the end of DWT then we could actually receive a great album by summer. it's not like james, the-dream, and esther can't start writing for her until she's done with tour. i'm sure they've already pitched some ideas, and we already know that various producers have sent her songs. right now she's probably trying to determine the image/sound she wants and is HOPEFULLY doing some writing. if she wants to get it done by the summer, she certainly can.

Rih has talked before about how by the time she finishes one album, she already has ideas for the next one, so I can imagine she has already got a lot of ideas, knows the sound, producers, writers, and probably already knows the names of some songs and maybe even recorded a few.

I can see it happening. Think about how "Stay" opened her up to HAC and adult audiences a bit more, I feel like she is trying to do this - to expose herself to more audiences and types of music listeners.

Are all songs that IMO have urban influences. Now it's one thing to be tired of the "ratchet" antics and songs such as PIU, but to say you don't want any type of urban is crazy to me

If Rih did an "indie sounding" album they would 1) Call her a copycat and a trend-follower 2) Say she isn't genuine at all and that the sound doesn't fit her. i would not be here for that at all.

1. Unapologetic is already half "indie" album (Stay, WN(?), LWT and Diamonds yes DIAMONDS I see Diamonds as that type of song hipsters on tumblr use daily and it being in a same lane as We Are Young and STIUTK)
2. You will be here for that kind of album, and you will like it.
