In this day and age, there are no hits that are not multi-format.
I thought it was just a rumour. And I hoped it wasn't true tbh.
I just don't like X going back. I would love for her to reunite with DJ Premier because I think he has a lot more to offer, but Scott, Linda and Sia are all pretty much washed up. I need new collaborations

I agree about Scott, Linda, and Sia. I think Scott still has drug problems anyway
Yeah, Christina should have never lost Rhythmic radio. Every major pop girl has at least 2 if not more formats on lock and there's no reason why she had to become a single format artist. Because when the bottom fell out at pop, it fell out bottomline
But at the same time, I'm not sure if she could have really maintained that format. It is more difficult to be multi-genre like Christina. Rihanna can get away with that, but she's black to be frank. Justin Timberlake has maintained his presence at rhythmic radio, but he's never really strayed from urban influenced material, while Christina hasn't stuck to that sound.
Rhythmic radio really would have helped for Not Myself Tonight, but they changed in Late 2012 so I'm not sure how much it could have helped Your Body. They don't seem to playing dance music as much now.
I wonder if it's too late for her to become a core Rhythmic artist again? Someone like P!nk we think today as a HAC queen, but she didn't get a real HAC hit until 2007, several years after people like Avril Lavigne and Kelly Clarkson were racking up HAC hits! And that has made such a difference in her career.
Ideally, I would love for her to follow the Bruno Mars path. He does really well at Rhythmic and HAC. HAC has changed too. It's not solely a soft rock format like it used to be, so that sets up the possibility that Christina could regain Rhythmic and gain a HAC following. I really think that's the kind of music that suits her best anyway especially for a comeback, a style where rock, soul, and pop converge.
