* 80s/90s inspired throwbacks, which anyone who follows fashion knows was ALREADY in/coming in style when Rihanna started with it
* Red hair AFAIK red was on the color wheel before Rihanna came along, and red hair dye was a product that existed, but
* Don't really feel like going through the rest of his posts, but Rihanna is fashionable as hell, she knows what's in and she has great style, but let's not do TOO much now sistren. Giving me 08-10 Little Monster teas

Beyonce is my fave of the options but Rihanna is the biggest she is THE STAR of her generation. Beyonce comes next but unlike the others shes had an 11 year solo career and though shes at her peak now she will always be associated with 2003-2009 cuz at that time she was IT. Katy I think more or less is on beys level. Prism is selling well 2 mill sold already, roar was the biggest hit of a female this year. Shes doing well for herself. Lastly is gaga, yes monsters shes still relevant but has fallen quite hard too. Shes was outdone by katy this era and it wasnt even close. Ill ad miley to the options too
So
rih>bey=katy>>lady gaga
If you disagree....urrrr pressed

I knew this thread would be a gotdamn mess, is it even worth the read. Like how are we supposed to know there are so much factors, #'s and different continents to take into account. Taking a lot of this into account either Gaga or Beyonce maybe Rihanna. Def between those three.
And I hope I do not see the overuse of the word iconic. A lot of people don't know how to use that word properly on here

I think Adele's name is cemented in the industry and her next album will do fine. I mean she's currently #14 on Itunes right now with nothing out (above Pink, Justin Bieber, Macklemore and JT). Gaga and Katy do not have that longevity and Rihanna probably wouldn't either if she stopped releasing as much as she did.
|
And now you talk about singles, I thought we were discussing albums. Even better for them to sell that much without massive hit singles. We will see what the future holds for Adele. I am by no means trying to diminish Adele as an artist or her success, so I don't see why you're taking this into that direction.
See for yourself Rihanna's longevity, don't even try TM excuse because Diamonds is charting in more countries. You no longer have the yearly release excuse. She has proved you all wrong once again.

she also slaying in single sales as well, isn't Rolling in the deep and someone like you one of the best selling single of all time though. what you got to say about that? she one most influential and probably have more impact in this industries than most of those artist listed especially if she continue giving good music.
|
RITD? Yes, one of the most successful singles of all time. Again, let me repeat, I am not trying to diminish Adele's success. But trying to compete with Rihanna on singles success, well...
And about impact, isn't it too early? Oh, well.
You both have the right to think Adele is the biggest pop star, although female act fits better. I don't try to change your mind so let's just leave it at that.

Uh . Katy and I'm a Taylor stan. None of her singles has flopped since TOY until Uncle. That's the longest streak out of the choices.

How can Rihanna be biggest popstar when she can sell barely sell anything other than $1,29 single? She can't even get people to tune into her show for free.
Sold out mac line. Didn't Nicki have one of those too?
Rih's got the worst endorsement deals out off all the pop girls.
Roc Nation's marketing really got y'all gassed.

Well as i said Rihanna can be #2 behind Adele, i'm not trying to diminish her success either as i love her probably the most out of anyone in this generation, but when someone has an album that's equivalent to 'Thriller' in the digital era, well that's pretty hard to ignore.
21's impact is already obvious, every Karaoke artist on the globe is covering Adele songs.
But yes, let's leave it at that. They both clearly have more longevity than the G.

Im not a rih fan but she is huge, her singles help because at the end of the day an artist is most remembered by their songs not albums. Shes also the most streamed artist in the world
Lets not
