They refuse to accept the truth. Britney has tweeted about this album to MILLIONS of followers and went on several radio interviews to promote it before it even came out. The consumers just didnt' want it.

Beyonce on the other hand just put it out in the middle of the night.

What about all the commercials she had on primetime TV for weeks? I even remember seeing back to back Beyonce commercials on the season finale of The Voice, and those don't come cheap, NBC has to pay the highest paid coaches Christina and Shakira ya know...

She's still the Voice of Our Generation and has multiple awards stating that. I guess no one was able to overshadow her in that aspect

I'm genuinely sorry if I come across as abrasive, but no one expect fatherless twinks and a few obese girls has compared Christina and Britney since their debut days. There's just no correlation. Ever since Mi Reflejo she has moved on to a different league and been judged mostly on her immense talent. Britney and Beyoncé stans not considering her an icon or a legend will hardly hurt her indisputable status in any way and that's the harsh truth. I mean, not even two commercial bombs were able to do it, you poor souls don't stand a chance.

Instead of praising the musicians who are passionate about what they do, we berate them for actually putting effort into their work. Like it's some better accomplishment to sell 500k from doing nothing than it is to sell 2 mil for caring about the output of your work...I'll never understand ATRL.

Oh I forgot to add that Xtina ruled the Latin charts in 2000 spending 19 weeks at #1

What in prior before Beyonce released her album on Itunes, there was no announcements or commercial ads, do you not understand?!? All that came a week later after the Album had already dominated the Itunes stores worldwide.

She sold 400k in the first 24 hours. 80k in the first 3 hours (at night).

Do you really think the commercials had time to set in and make a big impact on sales during this short window? Stop lying to yourselves. The commercials probably only really helped the week after. Otherwise, she sold on her name alone. That's real icon sh*t.

I totally agree with you. The thing is nobody was here for Bey when she was "flopping" with 4 and she suddenly has ATRL in her bag because she's successful? Most people here love BEYONCE for the copies sold rather than the music, I refuse to do that and I also refuse to sit here while everyone praises her for selling by her name alone when she clearly didn't. I already said that BEYONCE is a better album than BJ, that's out of discussion here.
