The frenzy following the release was because of her name and her name alone. Period. She did not announce, release a single anything other than simply upload her album and the world did the rest. SHE did not promote the project.

An iTunes banner or a commercial is not Beyonce promoting BEYONCÉ. I just blatantly acknowledged that Beyonce had a shitload of promo due to the media frenzy that ensued because who she was and how she released.

The thing is she didn't just have one spot, she literally had the whole banner for herself. If she was planning to sell by name alone then she should have done that exactly but she decided to put ads everywhere in the world.

Basically

Christina is talented but she's always been overshadowed by someone else. Nobody even recognizes her as an icon or a legend. She doesn't even have a tribute. Even Rihanna has an Icon award.

Xtina was as popular as Britney back then. Between 1999-2002 Xtina achieved 4 #1 singles and 2 Top 10 singles. Britney only had 1 #1 and 2 Top 10

It was Xtina who won the Grammy of Best New Artists over Britney. Oh and Xtina has "The Voice of The Generation" award
