Why did she bother doing a whole season of to Voice when she could have gotten paid 7.2 million for a concert?

While 'Britney Jean' is at 409k with 2 singles that were put on heavy rotation. ... and didn't she even go overseas to promote BJ? Meanwhile Christina only released YB from Lotus. .. never bothered to leave the US like your fave, never bothered to use payola for heavy rotation, and didn't bother to even perform her song once.
How pathetic of you all to discredit Christina

Live performances[edit]
Besides releasing singles to promote the album, Aguilera also performed several tracks from Lotus on a number of shows. On November 2, 2012, she performed "Your Body" on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, alongside Jimmy Fallon and The Roots.[39] Aguilera and Cee Lo Green performed "Make the World Move" together on the third season of The Voice on November 13, 2012.[40] The singer performed a medley of three songs, "Lotus Intro", "Army of Me" and "Let There Be Love" at the 40th American Music Awards on November 18, 2012, held at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, California.[41] On November 19, 2012, Aguilera performed "Just a Fool" with Blake Shelton on The Voice.[42] The following day, she performed "Let There Be Love" on The Voice with her team contestants, Sylvia Yacoub and Dez Duron.[43] On The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the singer performed "Just a Fool" again with Shelton on December 7, 2012.[44] Aguilera also performed "Blank Page" at the 39th People's Choice Awards on January 9, 2013.[45]

She made the most bang out of all the pop girls since she has the power to make an impact.
Anyways, the Army and Fighters can continue arguing over who can even come the closest to Beyonce even though they're pretty much the same, less than 500K, whatever makes them feel better, as of right now both of their latest efforts combined haven't done what Beyonce's did in one week.

Im gonna hate to make this comparision 'cause its a bit insulting for King Bey but Enrique Iglesias has sold millions of albums with no impact whatsoever. Selling albums does not make you an icon.
I don't think you understand what "selling by name alone" means. Both Britney Jean and BEYONCΙ are self titled albums BUT the difference is that Britney did NOTHING to promote either her singles or her album, no penny was spent in the promotion of the album and because of that it flopped hard. Beyonce had the whole iTunes Banner, Youtube ads, Facebook ads and pretty much in every website I logged in there was a Beyonce picture with an iTunes link. $16 is cheap for a brand new album with 14 songs and 17 music videos. And lets not forget all the exposure she got this year: Tour, Superbowl, etc.

And Xtina hasn't been unchecked in that time period. She's very much been in the public eye since 2011 with The Voice and her collabs

It was iconic. That's why the entire world was/is buzzing about it. It was a game changer and don't be surprised if your fav follows the blueprint Mrs.Carter mapped out

I think Beyonce and her team have done an AMAZING job of managing her career. I do think it's very telling though that despite having massive album success not seen by any female since Adele, her singles are not having the same impact. If the rumored part 2 is true, the results will be very revealing to say the least.
Not taking anything away from her, because I do respect Bey and I bought Beyonce too. I just think that her stans want to rush her legacy into the very top before it is even tested. Lets see if she can duplicate her results with part 2 and lets see if she dares to release it during a week thats not so convenient first.

The delusion in this thread
At the end of the day:
1)Beyoncι currently has the respect, critical acclaim and recognition Christina and her fans desperately want
2)Britney will always have the success and attention Christina and her fans always craved and this remained the case even in her worst of times
The insecurity is so obvious...

I remember seeing a lot of Britney ads on YouTube, an iTunes Banner, Facebook ads, ect. But the sales are not the same. Odd.

Other than having multiple iTunes banners she didn't have anything different every other major artist has when they release a new album. Stop reaching.
This whole thing worked in her favor because she is Beyoncι. She is a powerful brand and she IS selling off her name alone.

Boo Bye, lets gather in info for BJ.... thanks for reminding me that it was self titled as well, just proves Beyonce did much better on name alone and no promo for her album. If we want to count past exposure what did Britney in 2007 do for her now, you would expect her to be bigger than ever, but now she has a flop album, flop singles, flop tour and flop t special, she was a decent tabloid starlet for a while.
