No, it's not a joke and I am also a Beyoncé fan.
IMO Beyoncé gets a lot of free passes because she is a black woman. Like someone said, she has a lot more radio formats to support all she releases everytime and also it is a lot 'cooler' to be a Beyoncé fan than a Christina Aguilera fan on the GP percepction.
I'm not saying it's something that was carefully planned but to me, it just happened to be this way.
Christina is also judged by a lot harsher for the same very same things Beyoncé is praised for musically.

All of which Christina has.
*Her assess chaps/tan/ all of her raunchiness.
*Her 2007 Grammy Award performance.
*Beautiful video made a TON of impact.... then theres Genie AND Lady Marmalade.
* Back to Basics tour was more successful than the I Am tour.
*Memorable hits?? Genie, Beautiful, Lady Marmalade, What A girl wants, MLJ... take a pick!
So no... your comment is invalid
Edit. And let's not act like Britney and Beyonce have many more memorable hits and videos than Christina when Britney only has BOMT, OIDIA, and Toxic as memorable hits and as for her videos only Toxic and BOMT made an impact.
Then there's Beyonce.. let's be real. Her discography and videography is much weaker than her peers . With only SL and maaaybe CIL making impacts. So please stop acting like Christina is beneath them, when she's sitting pretty right next to these 2. :biblioç

I also would like to add that Beyoncé is forcing her way into that 'LEGEND' status. She made it clear since day one that her goal was to become a legend but you don't BECOME ONE because you want to, which is what I think Beyoncé might have to fight against in the future.
Beyoncé takes me back to Diana Ross, who also used all she could to get that legendary status and even though she is an icon and already an eternal music name, when you think of a FEMALE SINGING LEGEND you think of WHITNEY HOUSTON or CHER for example - who both just wanted to sing and got to that title without actually having to force their ways into it

that doesnt mean anything lol its not easier to be accepted in a white dominated industry its hard for Black girls to crossover into the MUCH LARGER pop market the only ones that have been able to do it recently have been Bey and Rih and Rihanna makes pop music

She just needs another hit era and she can achieve that by doing what she does best - powerful, strong lyrics ala Stripped with really good music (not following the mainstream trends, etc.) One thing I hate about talented pop girls such as Christina and P!nk is that they can make really good music but they choose radio-friendly hits sometimes.
She also needs to remind the GP why she is the voice of our generation. No shade but many of her recent performances were really bad cuz' she chose to over sing. Just look at the 'Say Something' performance - she kept it simple and people were mesmerized by her after she sang one or two lines.
And she needs to promote. Again no shade but I think one of the reasons she didn't promote was cuz' of her weight gain - and now she's super gorgeous she's back to her old self (with Maxim cover shoots, etc.)

Beyoncé is cooler to the GP than Christina because Christina hasnt been cool for about 6 or so years
Because Beyoncé is black she can be quickly nailed to a cross for things that white pop girls can get away with more easily. She has 100 percent control over her image thats why shes been able to stay relevant and get the GP to forgive her for things like lip syncing at the inauguration its not because shes black but thats a completely different topic

For music lovers Xtina is far more iconic than Britney. But Britney is a bigger celebrity.

Christina needs to stop trying to appeal to that pop market.
If SAY SOMETHING taught us something is that people want to hear her sing from the heart. She needs to follow in the footsteps of some of the R&B ladies like FANTASIA and TAMAR and deliver that soulful record about relationships and daily-basis struggles that EVERYONE CAN RELATE
Christina tends to be very self-centered with her music in such a length that many times nobody can relate to what she is singing because it's just too personal 'FOR HER' not for everyone else (like Lady Gaga's ARTPOP for example)
I mean, she was singing about supersonic rocket bionics not so long ago and on Lotus, there were too many 'SHUT UP HATERS' tunes.
Go back to the hearts, Christina, that's what we are here for. Make a connection with us

What things has Beyonce gotten nailed to the cross for, for being black that white girls got away with?

How exactly does one force their way into legend status?
She forced people to buy her albums? Forced radio to play her singles? Forced NARAS and their thousands of voters to give her Grammys? Forced Billboard/AMAs/EMAs/ASCAP/MTV etc to give her awards and allow her to perform? Forced people to make Single Ladies a dance craze on YouTube? Forced the NFL to let her perform the Super Bowl? Forced people to buy her tour tickets to the tune of 400 million? Forced people to buy her movie tickets? Forced corporations to pay for her endorsement? Forced people to buy her fragrances and clothing? Forced magazines and news outlets to give her covers and press?
She has a legend making career and status and that can't be "forced" and her being clear that she wants to leave a legacy (what person in their right mind that makes it to that level doesn't?) does not make her career any less than.

So true. Her best songs are Beautiful, Hurt, The Voice Within, You Lost Me (P!nk's favorite), etc. and those are just gems, what she does best.

I'm not here to get into a stan discussion with a Beyoncé BeyHive member. Our opinions won't change regardless of the endless posts switched.
I just think Beyoncé's moves are too well calculated towards the direction of 'make me a legend'. It just doesn't seem real, natural, from the heart IMO like it did for Whitney for example. It's not something that the stars aligned and happened for her due to her natural gift and talent, it is something SHE is moving hills and planets to make it happen for her.

Umm, no. Let's compare Christina and Brit first.
Memorable hits:
Christina- genie, beautiful, what a girl wants, MLG
Britney - baby, oops, slave, toxic, gimme more, piece of me, womanizer, TTWE
Iconic performances-
Christina - Grammy 2007
Britney - 2000 vma, 2001 vma, 2003 vma, 2007 vma
Neither of them really have an iconic red carpet outfit.
Idk about tours, but has xtina gotten a 100% sold out tour or a tour that grossed over 100 million
I'm gonna let you go at it with the hive for beyonce cause idk a whole ton about her. But in the case of britney against xtina, britney is the clear winner

So she's driven, dedicated and busts her ass to earn what she has. That doesn't guarantee her success and it doesn't account for the other millions of people involved that make up the rest. Was just pointing that out. Good evening!

I think that if we are to make a fair comparison, in like 40 years, Beyoncé will be seen like DIANA ROSS is seen today and Christina will be seen like CHER

I really respect that on her. That's why I support her
I don't see anything wrong in wanting something and GOING after it regardless of anything. Hell I do that MYSELF on my life.
