), I think this ^ is the best (and hottest) Kelly ever looked. I love everything about that look. Her hair, her body, the dress, the make-up.
You know what I realized? Although Kelly lost to Beyoncé the poll "Whose vocals have been kept in the better shape" or whatever it was, Kelly won every poll that asked who had better vocals overall. Who's laughing now?

I get what they mean and AI might be seen as "cheating" but it isn't a easy way either. For all I know Kelly tried to make her own way to the top by recording demos and sending them to the label etc. American Idol was just one of the ways which could get her to the top. It worked but it definitely didn't "make" Kelly. If she hadn't been any good all by herself she would have faded after Thankful. I actually think Kelly had it harder than the "normal" stars because
1) during AI she had to sing many different genres - she proved her versatility
2) during AI she had to sing live - she proved her vocal abilities
3) she had to have a nice personality because public wouldn't have voted for a selfish, hypocritical, shallow, stupid bitch.
4) After her winning, her fate was about to be probably sealed - she would be forever "the girl from American Idol". But Kelly managed to distant herself from it and now she is a respected artist.
