Season 4 is underrated.. I loved it. The quality was a biT down but there were still some amazing episodes, even without some of the main cast involved. The only times the season went down in flames were in some of the later episodes. They were kinda boring plus the finale was so rushed that it drove me crazy. So far this season the first few episodes were good but some scenes and jokes are just so cringeworthy.
I think Cory's death (
) kinda made the season this way because the writers probably put in plenty of Finn + Finchel dialogue, scenes together, Finn coaching the Glee club, etc. and then after he passed, they obviously had to take that out and replace it with new stuff immediately. I think they needed more time to successfully do that, and that's not what they were faced with. But since we got a major extended break, maybe that time off will get them back in the game in terms of learning to NOT repeat storylines and NOT making up messy scenes.
They have a lot of competition of Thursdays so hopefully they can at least get a LITTLE bump in ratings from the switch. At least we're getting a Season 6 no matter what.
Maybe I'm just remembering some of the best moments and episodes, but from what I remember there were a TON of amazing covers and pretty much every episode was at least worthy of a B+ besides, like I said, the last few episodes of the season (which would probably range from a C to B-)
