Can I just ask where all this f(x) isn't successful talk comes from? Last time I checked they had the 2nd best selling girl group album of this year (only GG outsold them, obviously) which has sold nearly 90k while most of these girls coming back 2 or 3 times a year can barely ship a third of that (if they even release an album at all, that is
).
They clearly have a dedicated fanbase and 4 of their last 5 title tracks have gone to #1, so clearly the public likes them enough as well. Just because they aren't overexposed to death and milking each era with repackages and promoting in 3 countries at once doesn't mean they aren't popular. I agree there's more SM could do with them but I what I like about f(x) is that they have their own lane with less pressure to perform than GG does, which results in more interesting, quality music and visuals imo. I don't think you could have a group like f(x) be as popular as GG while also maintaining what most of us like about them.
