It was quite the struggle but yes, in the end I got a ticket for a pretty bad seat Has she announced full tour dates for next year yet? I feel like she's been pretty slow with international dates for this tour.

I bet TSS are really fun live. I've been wanting to see them for a while, glad they're finally headlining over here. And with The Cab too

I know, and that's the only concert where I'm not actually sure if I'm really going. But my boyfriend has a spare ticket so.. Otherwise I would gladly have left it to you

I'm so excited to see them live, especially since their albums will be out by then. I already saw MØ because she was opening for AlunaGeorge, that's how I found out about her, and I can't wait to see her do her own show because she's great. She seems to tour a lot though so maybe she will come over there!

I still need to see Beyonce (probably my most wanted concert) but Taylor's tour was really great. Not sure how the international dates will be, I know the Canadian ones were basically like the US. Have fun though!

Glad to hear you enjoyed Taylor, I think just seeing her play her songs live is a great experience Hope you get to see Bey! It's a dream come true for me.

Arcade Fire was definitely one of the best days in a long time, everything was just so perfect, and they were epic live I hope I get to see them again next year, I could watch them a million times.

Speak Now is my favorite album from her, I can see how that would be amazing but omg, the artRAVE, that is awesome

Whoa! Based on the setlist alone makes this a really must-see and hear concert for Arcade Fire. I worship you and your ways and perseverance of getting to that concert. Makes me feel like I didn’t try with my efforts, which is true, but still. A Super essay like description of your concert experience. Man that is one of those one night only type of concert you went to. A lucky lady you are getting to see them and much more artists like Lana and Tegan and Sara and I really want to go to at least one concert. Just one. I listening to AF’s album right now because it is so good and great.

You must be a working girl for going to all these concerts. Have fun in those esp. to AF again, PATD, & Bey.

I really thought it was great how they played most of the new album that night. Thank you, it's nice that you appreciate my effort haha! But I can honestly say, music and concerts are just my favorite things in the world, and I'd never hesitate to spend time or money on them. I am currently doing an unpaid internship which makes things a bit tough, but I still have some savings from before when I had a job so that's how I pay for the tickets. I hope I can find a job again though after the internship so that I can keep going to concerts.

Albums of 2o13

After I've shown you my favorite concerts, it's now time for my favorite/best albums of the year. I've compiled a list of 19 albums from a diversity of artists and genres, and I think there should be something in there for everyone

Before we get started on the real thing, though, I have two updates that include the honorable mentions - albums I liked and thought were good, probably even bought, yet they lacked something and did not qualify for the best of the best.

Honorable Mentions Pt. I

	Ciara - Ciara This album was one of several surprises this year, that I checked out just for fun and ended up liking more than I would have expected. It's got a nice flow and some really smooth tunes on there, as well as some good collabs. I'm glad Ciara made something I like again, because I used to be obsessed with Goodies back in the day and always thought she had a lot of potential, so this was a good comeback. The album just doesn't hold my attention in a way that makes me want to go back to it much.
	HAIM - Days Are Gone The 'problem' with this album is that when it was finally released, over half of the songs were old already and that drastically reduced my interest in it. It makes me sad because I was anticipating this album and I think HAIM are one of the more interesting new artists, but they took so long to release this, I wish they had put some more new material on it. Quality-wise, the songs are all pretty good, some stand out more than others but I'd say that overall, it's quite consistent and they manage to show their signature sound in enough different ways to keep the listener interested. It just got old for me quickly.
	Lorde - Pure Heroine Another highly anticipated album from one of the biggest newcomers this year, but for me, Lorde only partly lives up to the hype. She's always walking a fine line between intriguing and boring with her minimal production, distinctive vocals and Tumblr Soft Grunge lyrics that are sometimes relatable and other times just way too try-hard. Personally, I've found that after the initial excitement faded, the album is a bit too low key for me and I only ever listen to a couple of songs anymore.
	Drake - Nothing Was The Same This was the first time I listened to a Drake album in full and I was not let down. His croon is incredibly, I love how he goes from that warm voice to rapping and just generally has this sweet yet badass vibe. I felt like it was a very personable album and he showed vulnerability and emotion, which helped me connect to it. The flawless production did the rest. Really good album, I just have to be in a certain mood to listen to it. I can always bop to the singles though.
	Paramore - Paramore After FOB announced their return, Paramore's comeback seemed to fade into the background a bit, but as a fan of their early albums I was still curious to hear their latest work. It turned out to be surprisingly poppy and upbeat, they have definitely developed their sound and it sounds like they're having fun with it. I don't find the album to be especially diverse - most of the time I don't feel like sitting through the whole album because after a couple of songs I feel like I've heard it all already - but it is energetic and fun to listen to, and they tried new things which was brave. The songs work well live, too, so they seem to have done everything right here.
