I wouldn't say I've abandoned her, I've always just been watching and enjoying from a distant. Stepping to close to her or her fan base is STRESSFUL, TOO stressful for something so insignificant IRL.

This situation is absolutely ridiculous. Obviously jayxxxte's post was hateful and a ridiculous exaggeration (sorry, no offense), but what she said is the opposite extreme. This girl is giving Gaga all of the power: saying that if Gaga feels her fans are ungrateful, that she will just stop.
The truth is, Gaga should be grateful to her fans for collectively giving her millions upon millions of dollars and helping her become one of the biggest popstars in the world. It never matters how big you get, your fans can and will always make or break you. Gaga is breaking up her fanbase right now, and it has less to do with the negativity within her fanbase than her actions herself. From my experience with stanbases, they are all negative to a degree, they all discuss charts, and they all have some delusional members. She or her technological team should be aware of this, but instead they are trying to parent her fans and tell them what to do and how to act online.
Her goal of a positive internet is admirable, and I agree with her, but she ends up looking hypocritical in most cases. She should know that her fans have a right to be concerned with what has been going on with her management and music, because (most of them) invest money into her. Internet pop culture and social media means fans are going to speak their mind, and that means she has to be willing to read criticism.
There's so much wrong with this era, and I've seen many of her most devoted fans lose their passion. It's time for her to look at herself and stop scapegoating. While I think ARTPOP is her best record, most people do not, and she should read criticisms of the album and assess why there is a contrast between fans response between THEN and NOW. Is she the it girl to hate? Is it truly a creative block? These are things she needs to assess and decide for herself.
As a fan who wants to see her happy and at a constant career peak (as well as see her fanbase happy), I have some future recommendations. These are not recommendations meant to hinder her creative process, as I admire her determination to be an individual artist, but these are suggestions that in my opinion, represent what a lot of people have been saying. ARTPOP is full of great work, but the imagery/theme is the main issue for a lot of people. I would love a more cohesive imagery to coincide with her fascinating creative process. The tech imagery was my favorite from this era, and it was beautiful.
This era is just a bump in the road, and I look forward to the rest of her already amazing career.

The intimacy of her "Monster" fanbase has also really started to backfire. The nature of the fanbase between her and everyone else has turned sort of toxic, and fans also go at it with each other.

I liked her during the TF/TFM eras (especially with Bad Romance) but I lost interest with BTW and she hasn't managed to get me back.

I was with her during the Fame for like a year between 2008-2009. Then she lost me when she was transitioning from The Fame to the Fame Monster and I've never looked back.

I never liked her music or personality.
Back when I checked Katy's credibility, I also checked her competitors.
Gaga was too much of hiding face, pretence, reliance on gimmicks, big productions,... She is like the kids with rich parents, bragging a lot, buying success/gimmicks (e.g. what has a hovering dress to do with making music?) instead of doing-it-yourself, not able to put her talents to an useful purpose,...
Her talents is like a shooter who can hit an apple at 800 meters while I can see that he/she is pointing the gun to the wrong target. Choosing the wrong target will never work, while hit and miss at the right target can work.
Not compatible with coming from a poor background (I had to figure everything out. Wanted a computer? Build one with old junk the other people were throwing away.), returning to pop after listening to metal for years (alternative has other values),...

Because, as has been said before, she doesn't learn from her mistakes. Also, her ego is such that she doesn't believe that anything she does is a mistake. She's the least self-aware of any of her peers, and that is the problem with her.

One time a generic poll option actually describes how I'm feeling to a tee.

Nope she's still the best pop star out there for me, with or without her mistakes, with or without the GP support.
