I still don't know where the hell she gets off thinking Single Ladies wouldn't have crossed over and blocked IIWAB anyway.
Same with Drunk—anyone could have told you it was the most surefire way to hit at the moment. The only thing the public loves more than B right now is Jayoncé.
Several people on here say its "generic" and "safe". When will they learn to stop doubting Bey?
In relation to the rest of BEYONCÉ, it does sound rather "safe." But compared to other Sia-penned songs released in the past few years, it's by far the best, and I'd argue it's the lease generic of the lot.
Pretty Hurts is generic and safe, but of course it will slay. Those songs usually do. It's kinda like Roar except Pretty Hurts>>>>>>>Roar. Basic pop songs but with good messages.

It has vocals. It's nothing like Roar, at all.
Pretty Hurts is one of her most vulnerable songs. And the video is probably her best on the album.

The body stereotypes she's displaying >>>>>
Yeah, Yoncé's vocals are what really makes the song stand out. And really, that's the biggest selling point for me, her vocals. I don't think she's ever sounded better. I've tried to imagine what these songs would sound like had another artist recorded them, and I don't think any of them would be nearly as good without Bey.
