It only charted higher because the video was released on Monday along with the song. If SOML's video has been released it would have performed as well.
BSE never went back into the top 10 after launch. Though it sat in the top 20 for a while. It also had no significant radio success.
On the other hand SOML has been back into the top 10 (as high as #4) for the last two/three weeks. It also went BACK into the top 10 on the Hot 100, which is the first time they have managed that since WMYB. SOML will also at least double the radio airplay of BSE even if it stalls out today.
