This won't hurt Target lmao... Beyonce will be doing amazingly if she sells 2 million in the US with this album, which she probably won't but. If she is already going to sell 700k in the first week, then that gives her like 1.3 million left to sell in the US. How many of those do you think would sell at target? Probably less than 100k. That's why they are rebelling against the digital movement. They don't want people biting into their sales, so they are taking a stand.
I can only imagine the people who don't know target isn't going to carry the album and how they're going to react when they walk into the music section on the 20th
Ethan look at the big picture - they are trying to intimidate other artists.
They absolutely are. I've not said anything different.

Sis.
Does it? I know places have exclusive versions of the album, in order to attract buyers, but does it really happen where an artist says "You can only buy my album here for a week and then everywhere else after that"?

No one said anything about selling as much as Beyonce. Digital albums sell more than physical albums now.
Oh really?

But it's not like Physical CDs do better than digital copies.

Sis she's going to do 2 million before January is up

The fact that some of y'all still make predictions after this past weekend is just...

Yes, it will. It's horrible PR. Target is selfishly putting chump change for their business before the advancement of an entire industry.

I mean your argument would carry more weight, if 1.3 million physical albums sold isn't monumental these days with Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry and Gaga all struggling. You'd think Target would want as big a part of the pie as they can!
And like we said, you can't be a mouse standing up against a lion ALONE. All you do is tiring yourself out.
I'm just saying. And like i said, i don't care if you'll still be Beyonce fan even when you start to lose brain cells, nearing death. My point was not to act like she is the Queen of Pop and then feel bad when she gets caught slipping and is dragged for filth.
I don't give a damn about ATRL dragging my critically acclaimed, 130 million record selling, iconic, Billionaire fave

Target is a business lol. If the rest of the industry catches on to this trend Beyonce is starting then Target has a LOT more to lose than what they will by not selling this record.
This is a business making a business oriented decision in order to try and protect themselves in the future. Like I'm not sure where the confusion is coming from

Yes because when I got Target I go solely to buy music from there. No I'm going to buy Toilet Paper and cereal.
They need to embrace change, growth, and innovation, and not try to stunt it.
Some of you Beyonce fans have on some weird rose colored glasses ever since she came out with these great numbers. You guys should keep it humble and cute - take it from a Gaga fan. Doesn't matter how many times it is, but what goes up must come down.
