It's ok you aren't rude. I admitted several times that I'm pressed and probably will be about Diamonds blocking Die Young. The reason is that this is the definition of getting blocked, I will explain how I see things: When a song is at number one it obviously has the most chart points of all the songs. Then the #2 song is obviously the song with second most points and there comes the difference between the #2 songs or at least how I see it. You can be number 2 because you gained so much points that you jumped over all the other songs all the way to #2 and just a tiny bit short of points for the #1 spot - this is what I call getting blocked (Diamonds/Die Young). The other scenario is when a song is very stable at #4 or #3 and the #2 starts to fall quickly then the stable song automatically takes its place next week and the difference between #1 and #2 is very big and the second song has no chance of getting at #1 (I can't think of any good example for this but maybe WCS/GL with Blurred Lines. I know that BL was very very huge but the previous didn't have any outstanding stats either). I hope you understand my thoughts on the charts because I love charts (especially Billboard) and take them very seriously and personally
PS: There might some typos because I'm on my phone and I make a lot of mistakes
