With ARTPOP Act II being Gaga's last album with Interscope, I can see her going independent- creating her own music label and just bringing out the music she wants with no management breathing down her neck telling her it has to be like this.

Why do people think it's so black or white? You don't have to be generic and beige to play the fame game. She can maintain her identity without being off-putting.
I'm not saying she should, or that I want her to, play the game...but if she wants to be top tier, then the steps are clear.
I wouldn't be surprised if she did go off the pop rails, but we shouldn't underestimate how much she craves validation and wants to create a legendary legacy. Being a 5 year wonder isn't on the cards.
