Everybody exaggerates about Unconditionally flopping, but DWYW was performed twice (AMAs and SNL) and the song is not doing any better so far.

I guess it's because everyone had better expectations for Katy and Uncle, most were saying that this would've been #1 too (including Billboard).

It's been promoted like DWUW even if on different shows, it has way more airplay, its video is already out. Plus Uncle follows a worldwide big smash while DWUW comes after a normal hit in the US and an undeperformance/flop WW. I guess, it's normal to take it harsher on Unconditionally rather than on Do What U Want. Nonetheless both should be doing better at this point.

Unconditinallys AirPlay really isn't much higher than Do U Want U Wants and the latter is actually climbing while the former has leveled out. But Dark Horse is schoolin them both considering its lack of airplay.

Do What u Want is doing better on iTunes thanks to a second version that's lingering around 200-250 for a couple of weeks now and, even tho the difference in airplay is not that much, Uncle has still almost 25m listeners more on radio!

But yes at DH schooling them I need all 3 to smash anyway

Roar slaying is not helping Uncle though. It's more difficult when you have 3 singles in the Top 20 because it means the GP is supporting 3 songs at the same time. And Gaga had the advantage of releasing DWYW before ARTPOP, the song already had some success and that's the reason why it became the 2nd single.
