While it was really beautifully shot and had a really great style and even story (although the storyline of Adam and Eve is beyond tired at this point), I just couldn't vibe with some of the cheesiness. It seemed like she was creating a 27 minute video that was ready for tumblr. And it's not even innovative and/or upcoming tumblr trends. From the use of Day of the Day facepaint, to the casting of Shaun Ross it was like a review of the last 3 years' tumblr trends. I realize this is Lana, Queen of Tumblr but I just wish she could have made new things for tumblr instead of repeating the same clichés and even going more mainstream than I would have expected from her.
Also (this is a bias), I really hate when costumes go for it in every aspect but for the hair. Example: her Eve outfit. Flowers all over, natural etc. but then her hair is some style from like 2010.
But I respect that she actually did this. You could tell a LOT of time and thought went into it, and it was very well executed and I have no doubt that a lot of people love it.

but do we even know what hair style Eve really had? all the imaginary pictures we had had the same long hair so I don't that a thing IMO.
and I'm glad she didn't go mainstream with this, all the people I know fans or not fans loved it, they were amazed by the way its been directed, done, acted, monologues, music everything!
it doesn't have to be literally incarnation of her lyrics, the songs she chose fit perfectly to the theme, as if she knew she will make Tropico while recording the songs!
