Her success lies in the allusion that shes not a pop star, even though she is. So for her to do numerous television appearances and become some sort of personality would probably hinder her success rather than enable it, in the long run anyway.

She needs people to be under the false notion that shes not mainstream.

I agree to a certain extent that she might lose her mystique I suppose, but she'll never truly break out if she avoid TV interviews, award show performances etc.

she did not say she is quitting music, she said that Tropico was a farewell project, but she didn't say it was a farewell project to the Born To Die/Paradise ERAs so everybody (including) me assumed that she was quitting music!

I've read that the co-writer of Off To The Races tweeted a fan that her new album is coming in 2014, a couple of days before she announced it. So, if he is on there, maybe we will get another uptempo track or two. I wonder if she will work with the exact team again.


She really should give us a few information soon. I am dying to know what she has to say about the new record.
