Rihanna is quite popular in Asia, just not in Japan. Ask anyone from an Asian country.
And Shania is the most global country star ever. Taylor hasn't come close to that level. I don't think most people in mainland Europe even know who Taylor is.
Really, though, rihannafans are bringing rise to some interesting issues.
What does it even mean to be local to the US and global because you're successful in the EU when the US is more geographically distributed and socially varied than the EU?

If you judge by the best selling album of 2012 and 2013, there is "one big artist" in the UK. As I stan for the only artist that fully dominates in one of the major 3 territories, I'm sort of kinda running **** round here.
