And maybe they thought that's why Rih had to focus on singles and release a lot of albums in a short time period to gather the album sales, as 'little' as they are compared to others.
Now, she has sold over 30 million albums and around 150 million singles while artists like Katy and Gaga, who release less frequently, are stuck with lower album and singles sales.
She's definitely come out on top of everyone, het team has to be one of the best of all time in the pop world.

I think it was actually the fact that MOTS flopped and DJ was ready to drop Rihanna but she managed to find sponsors to fund AGLM and then it was semi-success then DJ decided to give her a 3rd shoot and they wanted to capitalize on the fact she was "hot" and then Umbrella smashed and they finally decided to fund parts of her projects to rest coming out of sponsors and the 09 happen and the original plan of Rihanna taking a break and concentrating in acting+business got shut down and they went into RR but when that flopped they rushed into LOUD ( LA Reid said something like his&Rih career depended on it) and it was a hit and Rih wanted to keep making music and TTT&UA happen. Now she seems to be going to her original 09 plans.

It was probably just a bunch of concidences that created the yearly releases.

Only 2 noms? It sucks because this year she doesn't have a collab to fall back on. She might not win anything. I had huge hopes but now that I consider it 2 is reasonable.

Best Pop Duo/Group Performance (Stay) has way to much competition and I doubt she will take home Urban Contemporary, but weirder things have happened (still wouldn't expect it).

- But no Janelle wasn't nominated. Tamar is the only competition however Tamar has 3 other noms too. So she will most likely win in one of those R&B categories and Rihanna will win Urban Contemporary.
