Men will feel way more comfortable playing a Rihanna song than a Gaga song.
Gaga has also restricted her wide base by her exclusivity towards the little Monsters.

Her songs are not relateable, she became darker and weirder, people immediately associate her with the gays, etc.

Britney Jean: 51 Metacritic
ARTPOP: 61 Metacritic
These albums are both artists' LOWEST scoring albums ever. Maybe you meant to post <<<< ?
In any case Gaga and Britney albums backed by the largest studios are in no way "indie"

A lot of people either really love her or really hate her, at least that's how it is with my friends. The ones that dislike her usually use the excuse of her being too weird which I can understand being a reason why so many people are over her.
Her lyrics aren't straight forward & sometimes are very unrelatable. However, It's funny how so many people can complain about how generic pop music is but when someone, like Gaga, puts out something different.. it's too weird & they hate it.

She's becoming a parody of herself in the eyes of the GP. That's what Ke$ha was afraid of. That's what the 'ARTPOP' era has started to make Gaga, much like the 'Warrior' era has started to make Ke$ha. They both need to show something FRESH and NEW to regain the interest of the GP.
For Gaga specifically, she needs to quit the antics and crazy outfits and all of the other nonsense that only the Monsters really care about because not only is it not helping her anymore, it's actually starting to hurt her as well. Her trying to appease her fanbase has alienated herself from the GP. GP should be the main priority for an artist, always. Not their fanbase. Of course the fans should be a big part of what they do, but not at the expense of general, global success.

It's pretty obvious, straight guys don't listen to songs like "I'm skinny I'm rich and I'm a little bit of a bitch" or "What are you gonna wear this season? Donatella..." her music is directed to gay males, it's a shame because she has so much talent and she wastes it serving those kind of songs. She has to take a long break and write new songs, fresh songs, not things like donatella, fashion and stuff like that.

Yeah but Poker Face is about lesbians and its her biggest hit. I think Donatella and Fashion! are not the problem. The GP didn't know about them.
I have the feeling that with Gypsy she will gain a lot of new audience

Honesty, I don't have a problem with her, but it seems like she only makes music for the gays and not a whole fanbase. She should try changing it up to fit the whole GP, not just one minority

She lacks a willingness to adjust with the times and display her flexibility. She has a load of talent, but she squanders it by writing unrelatable lyrics that she subjectively views as her art (Donatella, Mary Jane Holland, and especially Venus). She hasn't branched about much beyond dance pop, rarely venturing into presenting other genres in her discography. Her unwillingness to let the art speak for itself is also detrimental. Her reputation as a gay rights advocate also precedes her, and makes her a stereotypically gay artist.
Also, she makes a lot of career mistakes that she hasn't seemed to have learned from, due to repeating them over and over.

Poker Face isn't that narrow - it's more about sexuality with gambling analogy - something dudes can definitely bop to.
