unfortunately I have to agree. The cinematography is her best. hands down. But what makes her videos stand apart from all other popstars are the story lines, and Applause doesn't have one.

Yeah I'm gonna name all the video's she's ever done.
For a LEAD single it's just not on par with her previous lead single video's (except for Just Dance, but even that's debatable).
And even other video's like Telephone and PF are better than it.
She's supposed to progress in the video department not regress, so the Applause video is supposed to be on par if not better than her previous video's and it just isn't.
