Excuse me for going off topic. I just get my panties in a twist when people use MDNA's US numbers as if they're comparable.
This era is so unpredictable for Gaga. I mean it's been flop after flop, but I never thought "Applause" would still be in the top 20 on iTunes three months in after its disappointing first week. I say there's a 1 in 5 chance that she can salvage the era.

MDNA's WW total I think is around 1.8M, so not bad considering less than a third of that was from the US. However, an argument can be made that those who bought the tickets might still have bought the album regardless of the bundle (same argument for that pesky 99 cents asterisk people pull on BTW.) It was a smart marketing move on Madonna's part and gaga could have done something similar for that push but I'm sure the label is tired of asterisks. I just think the mdna numbers are used so frequently because of the whole albums artist shtick the monsters have been pushing and the fact that most were expecting near a 400K debut and now she's under-performing.
