You really think it's likely that her label would let that happen? Act 2 - if they have any sense - will be a string of smash hits co-written by hitmakers, featuring big collaborators.

They can't mess around with that. They need to damage control and get hits out before the tour.

The Fame Monster was such a brilliant re-release because the original was so well received and successful, the public clearly wanted more.

Except that was supposed to be BTW, and ARTPOP was supposed to be her huuuuUUuge make-it-or-break it album. Gaga herself described it as "a phoenix rising from the ashes."

I blame all the monsters who were going on and on about wanting ARTPOP to be about "the decay of the female icon!!!11!1!!" Well you got what you wanted

I don't even care about the sales, I love the music. But all these headlines trashing her (when she's really performing on par with her peers, some of whom are actually at the peak of their careers+hype a la the beginning of BTW)... it's getting ridiculous. I can't stand the negativity surrounding this whole era from the very beginning.

Luckily, I'm confident that DWUW will smash, which should hopefully stop all the negative press.

BTW was a stumble before the fall. If people really thought a 7 million selling album, gigantic tour, massive hits etc. was her share of flopping...

It's all a game. People are enjoying tearing her apart. When it gets boring, they'll move on.
