Who really is making a big deal about the blogs anyways? It's not that hard to ignore unless you just wanna be pressed and ruin it for everyone else. It causes more trouble getting rid of it than keeping it.
At them making this thread thinking we would all co sign and saying we're here to answer your question, but when we started raising real questions and arguments they ran faster than the ATRL+ money.
My point still stands? Removing explicit content from blogs doesn't make the forum as a whole any more "focused" on music. Those sections clearly aren't music focused anyway, which was my point.

And if it's about pop music why don't we just eliminate Games and The Lounge? And ban movie talk in SYG? The warning tag was enough but now you're literally crippling people's expressive ability. We already have 50 threads about the same music stuff everyday. What are people supposed to do now when all the Gaga and Katy and Britney threads have been created and people wanna talk about something else.
MTV started out as music videos and look at it now. ATRL started out as pop music. Branching into other fun and "messy" stuff keeps it from being archaic.
And if YOU don't wanna see explicit content young children, don't look at it. Cuz there's quite a few members who enjoy having the silly and adult humor.

I mean, I guess I understand why this happened, but I don't see why everyone should be punished for a few bad eggs. The whole fun of ATRL is the messy members in the Blogs, and the thirst in all the threads. I never used or did any of this, but it was always funny (and sort of "comforting") to know they were there.

Also the tempers in here , no worries after some time they will have cooled down. Its just the rebelliousness people have to rules and all. They won't be leaving this site anytime and will come back after a while even if they do
It's not the **** . It's the fact that you guys will keep on censoring and removing aspects of the ATRL experience that makes it fun. At the rate we're going , this place will continue to lose its personality. THAT is the point that I'm trying to make. My issue is not with this policy alone. It's the combination of all the restrictions that were placed in the span of one year.

Not really. A lot of times, the drags in blogs aren't as ruthless and cold hearted in blogs as they are in SYG, and I know a few members who are genuinely uncomfortable going in there

Are you kidding? This is a joke. 90% of the forum is about MUSIC. Even if you keep the blogs it won't be about music. You guys just don't enjoy things that get a little "risque" so you're cracking down about it. Doesn't matter if it's about music or not.

If Facebook or Google makes a change to their privacy settings and if you don't like the change you can deactivate your account and cease using their product. It's the same thing here. It's not stupid in any way. You just don't agree with our decision. There's a difference.
