At least we got the #1 and matched the 260k predictions. The sales are bad but objectively it could have been worse.
Let me go to sleep thinking about the #1 because I really thought we would not get it

Wasn't it around the same as ARTPOP's?

Well i cant say im completely happy with the #'s i have faith the right singles will keep the album afloat. DWUW was the perfect 2nd single and the obviously the right choice (iTunes agrees). This is not going to be an easy era for monsters, but so long as she has solid sales and leaves off on a good note when its over all will be good. Hopefully this will motivate Gaga on the next album.

this worries me. well not worries, but actually disappoints. because the very very earliest we'll get part 2 is June/July, and i was holding out for the tour to start in like march.

sis don't get your (or anyone else's) hopes up. If she did 100k on preorders, that mean that within the 1st 7 days only 160k purchased the album. 150k in sales 2nd week implies basically no drop in sales from the debut week. I'm expecting at best 90k, probably 80k.

ARTPOP era has been unpredictable, but I agree it is more of a decline when summed up.

260K is not bad when comparing it to her peers, but comparing 260K to her previous effort is rather underwhelming.
But hey, this era is about longevity right?

Still I love ARTPOP. Its song are much better to BTW, but thematically it seems rather lost.

The numbers are good. I did think it would be more initially, but I'm never good with estimations.

It's funny how similar the first week sales of "Applause" and ARTPOP are, probably the current size of Gaga's fanbase in the US.
