i do have major issues with the way women of color are portrayed in this video, some of the lyrics, and some of her statements regarding the video tho
SO close to a good representation of feminism but there are flaws that really detract from this
nonetheless i hugely support this video + song because it's better we have this than another blurred lines

AND my biggest issue of the few major ones i have is the "don't need to shake my ass for you, cause i've got a brain line"
i mean this not only implies major **** shaming but i can have a brain AND shake my ass, thank you very much
+ to cut to women of color shaking their asses RIGHT after that line in the video is EXTREMELY racist even if it was probably totally unintentional

My biggest issue with this is she isn't telling us anything new or putting out any ideas about how to put an end to the phenomenon she's describing. It's predictable and nowhere near as catchy as her previous songs.

This song has been stuck in my head since I watch the video for the first time.

And I honestly do not understand why people are getting worked up over the video. It's pretty obvious the message that she's trying to get across. Some people are reading way too much into it, or just trying to find issues where there aren't any. Like seriously, the video actually has nothing to do with race. It's making fun of the overtly sexualised females and "video hoes" in the industry. All of the girls dancing in the video are in on the joke, not being made fun of themselves. Like really, is that concept so hard to grasp for some?
