Gurl it's okay. Everyone is at different levels and there's nothing to be ashamed of. 50% of running is natural ability and 50% is hard work. You can only affect that one 50%, and that's all that I ask for from my teammates. I'd rather have a team of 30:00 minute runners that work hard than 16:00s that rely solely on their talent and don't put forth the effort.
We should make an ATRL XC Team, tbh.

It's funny because there's so many runners on ATRL. I guess it really is a sport for the gays
Nah, but I made an XC thread way back last year and no one posted in it.

A non-contact sport that gets you an amazing body? Of course the gays and CBXC stan for it.

But really guys, I just ran my last high school cross country race two Saturdays ago It's weird to think that I'll never race a 5K anymore.
All I have to look forward to now is track, which I enjoy far less

I'm not gay either
I know my avatar seems to say the contrary but it was picked out by your own judge Kitt

Track blows. I'll be busy student-directing and being costume chief for the school musical.
Are you planning on running in college?

I run the 3200, too. Eight laps around a track is not fun.
And nope, just for fitness and recreation. I'm not fast enough to run competitively at any of the school that I want to go to.

Track's okay, I mean. Last year we'd just break off and everyone else would just go practice and I'd be left alone with, like, two other people to practice long jump

What schools are you looking at, if you don't mind this grapefruit prying?

Same! We didn't have a jumps coach so I had to train myself in pole vault. It didn't go too well, and I didn't do track after freshman year.

That's fine.
I'll post my flop year results (for my junior year):
for a 2.9 mile: 18:48
for a 3.0 Mile: 20:37
for a 5k: 20:57
It was my first year of XC (no summer training and only did track in my freshmen and sophomore year).
To be fair my XC coach didn't let me run XC in my sophomore year even tho I wanted to

I can run like, a 7 minute mile in 5 inch heels. That's a victory.

I'd tell you, but it'd kind of reveal my geographic location.
They're all large, public schools though. I'm not looking to pay $50,000 a year for a private college

@Adem- I mean, lord knows these gurls can't pull in the numbers themselves. We all saw the Nielsen 18-49 ratings drop the episode after I was eliminated.
@Katie- But is that faster than Drip's heel mile?
@CBXC- It's all good. Public schools are what I'm looking at, as well. The only private ones I'm considering are ones I could get a scholarship for. Not here for student loans higher than Edge.
@Zune- That's not that bad, though. You're better than over half of our team, and with no training!

Honestly, it matters more to me where I'm going to get my graduate degree. Undergrad is important, but I'd rather spend money on the school that is really going to determine what kind of job I can get.

What major(s) are you considering? You strike me as a finance type of guy.
